Short walks on a bed of spring flowers

April 15, 2013

Each day new flowers appear to blanket the already colorful ground.  It is a treat to walk through the woods and discover different leaves and blossoms.  Now, the plants that fascinate me are about the size of a violet with the intense colors and varied shapes.  It is amazing they survive the cold and frequent frosts that keep reappearing.

In the valley the red bud, dogwood, and pear are blooming.

Spring is here!
