Western North Carolina abounds with creeks, mountains, and flowers. The creeks originate in the mountains that drip out of the rocks into rivulets that trickle over the earth eventually joining into a babble of water over the rocks. In this area the water often cycles to the Fontana Reservoir to resulting in hydroelectric energy.
These creeks provide a home for fish which attract fishers. And many of us appreciate the results on our dinner plates.
Without this precious source of water we would be in dire circumstances.
